I feel that many of us when thinking about the word obsessed, we think of it as a bad thing. We associate this word with the addiction to something bad for us, elsewhere I have read many times that obsession could be a sign of ADHD.
I honestly don’t want to offend any parent who has a child with ADHD, but when I was a kid, this was just called being a naughty child. However, the purpose of this link is to display the similarities to success and obsession.

Through my online show I interview some great business winners, people who have achieved success in a number of different ways. And the one thing I find that always surfaces is the obsession towards what they do.
Now its quite easy to get obsessed with things that you really enjoy, often the hardest thing is to stay obsessed with it, and see it through until it becomes fruitful.
I find the easiest way of staying committed to something is to ensure you have crystal clear goals, plan really thoroughly and know exactly what you are going to achieve each day. Most people start each day and rarely achieve the things they would like because all they do is react to other peoples demands and needs.
When you start planning, and you have crystal clear goals, YOU have control over your day.
So get obsessed with planning, get obsessed with your goals, get obsessed with your life! And if you plan, then you can become consumed by the goal and easily get obsessed about it.
For example, a client of mine is getting married in 2017 and they are going on a road trip around America for their honeymoon. The cost of just the honeymoon is costing well over £10,000.
I asked was it possible that this honeymoon would NOT happen? To which the reply was HELL NO, its happening! You see the detail, the OBSESSION around this goal was there! They knew where they would stay, the car they would hire, how much money they required, each and every hotel and the associated cost.
They had become obsessed with this! You need to get this level of obsession with your goals!
Don’t just write half hearted goals once a year, and never look at them again. Get detailed plans, look at them everyday, several times a day, GET OBSESSED!
