What is this relativity really all about?
Everything has a point of relevance, everything relates to something. Nothing is really big, nor is it really small!
Everything is always in harmony, and always has to be in agreement with each other. Once you begin to understand this, things begin to fall in to better perspective. You will soon release that someone will always be better than you, likewise you will always be better than someone else.
Let me explain, when you start anything new, someone will always be better. However, once you begin to better understand the thing you are working on, you by default move to the next rung of the skill ladder, and someone is now looking at you as being the master.
This is just life, you have the ability to learn anything. Once you start to realise this, you begin to understand how special you really are.
So when it comes to relativity, everything is always in harmony. If you take the number 1 and compare it to the number 2, you know that 2 is the bigger number, however when you compare 2 to the number 3, 3 is larger. The real and obvious fact is that neither is big or small.
The number 2 is just ‘fact’ and life is that way, everything is just ‘fact’. We make it what it is… Something is always smaller than number 1, and equally something will always be larger than the number 3.
Lets put this in to practice…
Since most people want to earn more money, then thats a good place to start, people often say to me that money isn’t that important, but if you’re in business its the most important thing you will need in order to grow, succeed and help many others.
1. So begin to think about the money you earn, if this isn’t much money, who or what are you comparing this too?
“What you get by achieving your goals, is not as important as what YOU become by achieving your goals”
– Henry David Thoreau
Fact No. 2
Remember we just discussed everything has relevance, so above you have outlined the money you earn isn’t much when compared to x…
2. So begin to think about the money you earn, if this is lots of money, who or what are you comparing this too
“Gratitude opens the door to the power, the wisdom, the creativity of the universe. YOU open the door through gratitude” – Deepak Chopra
Fact No. 3
So you now have an understanding of relativity, you earn more than some, others earn more than you. Lets look at how we can apply this lesson to your goals.
3. I love the rule of 33, which says you should spend 33% of your time with people below you, 33% of your time with people on your level, and 33% with those whom you aspire to be like.
Clearly make out below those categories:
Start by filling all the people you know who fit each of these categories.
“People with goals succeed because they know where they are going, it’s as simple as that”
– Earl Nightingale
The reason this lesson is so important is it helps you to come to the realisation that you need to be honest with yourself. What action you must take in order to move to the next level, who and what the next level looks like and where you need to apply your attention.
This final stage is to write what traits and assets the people you wrote in the rule of 33 have, that you aspire to also have:
Now you have a clear list of your power team, you need to reach out them!
Reach out to everyone on your rule of 33 list, find out what they do, how can you help and what makes them tick. Before you know it, things will start to fall in to place.
