Ok, so it has been around two weeks since I ran the Financial Freedom seminar in Sheffield, and the evening was brilliant. Approximately 30 people attended from all backgrounds, such as MLM (network marketing) holiday services, recruitment, health & fitness, eCommerce, finance, printing supplies, lawyers and many more. This leads me to the conclusion, no matter what our chosen path or career, we always strive for more.
I often say: “Something inside of us wants to grow” and the evening was a testament to my belief, and for those that attended the evening, I know you will start a journey exploring some of the topics we discussed. In fact, many have already been in contact with me asking for more details about coaching, mentoring and ways to build that residual income we discussed.
Now, here’s the thing, after just 24 hours most will have forgotten a large proportion of the content we discussed, and after just a few days almost all of the content we covered will be hard to recall. This is not because the content was not useful or relevant (people attended because of the content), but unless you exercise the habits we discussed daily, you slowly slip back into doing the things you have already done. This is the norm, and everyone does this.
We feed our bodies on a daily basis but fail to feed our mind, fail to learn something new each day and fail to apply simple rules that others have seen significant growth using.

On the day we had the luxury of hearing the inspirational Liam Richards talk about the lifestyle he lives, meeting the blue Power Ranger, touring with Jean Claude Van Damme and the systems he uses to allow him to live this lifestyle.
All too often people tell me about how they want to change, how they want to work on their financial situations, and how they want to start doing more of the things they love. The sad truth is they don’t follow through on the things they say they will do, and this is for a whole host of reasons, not enough time, mindset is not in the right place, work is really busy at the minute and a whole bunch more. A great quote I love is “People don’t have a time problem, they have a priority problem”.
If it’s really important to you, you will find the time, and if it’s not, you will find an excuse. That’s the ugly truth!
In the evening we talked about three simple systems that I use on a daily basis, and how these simple systems have transformed my own life. Actually, pretty much everyone I know is a really successful user of these systems, even if they’re unaware that they do. I also find that everyone who’s really successful whom I know, have phrases, quotes and snippets pinned to their walls from the great film & book The Secret. This is no coincidence like attracts like, ask, believe and receive and show gratitude for the things you have and by the Law of Attraction, you shall receive more.
Here are the systems we covered
1. Goal Cards:
I have a Goal Card which I carry everywhere, and I look at it several times every day, certainly a first thing in the morning and last thing in the evening. I don’t just look at the word and read them, I visualise, internalise the goals and visualise myself already in the position of these goals.
2. Weekly Planner:
I have devised my very own weekly planner, this includes a weeks view that covers all the priority actives for the coming week, appointments and looks at the seven habits discussed by the legendary Stephen Covey. Roles and goals, how are you going to be a better Dad, Son, CEO, Partner, Finance, Husband, Wife etc.
It also covers ways for you to sharpen your Saw, Physically, Mentally, Spiritually & Emotionally on that particular week. Each day of the diary has sections to remind yourself of your favourite quotes, how you have achieved the roles and goals, the success you have had each day, and what activities you have done to sharpen the saw. It even covers your financial success for each day, have you won business and the value, have you gained any passive income and the total residual income to date.
3. Gratitude:
The gratitude ritual that I do every morning, and have done for many years now, this alone has created a huge amount of success for me in all aspects of my life.
Again, it’s not just about being thankful and saying the words with empty thought, you close your eyes and really meditate, visualise all the things you’re thankful for. I spend approx 5 minutes every day doing this.
To everyone that attended the seminar, I thank you for your time and I can’t wait to speak with all of you again. And to everyone else who couldn’t make it, I look forward to speaking with you sometime in the near future.
You can download the Goal Card and Gratitude sheet from my website for FREE, but you have to use them. Dreams don’t work unless you do!
